The Army Museum Žižkov
|
The museum builds upon the work "Resistance Memorial", which was founded shortly after the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia. In its exhibition halls it provides a comprehensive picture of activities of the Czechoslovakian Legion during World War I, the construction and development of the Czechoslovakian Army in 1918-1939 and it also maps combat action of the Czechs and Slovaks during World War II on the background of world events. All these events are richly documented with plenty of arms of domestic and foreign designs, uniforms, orders and decorations, and other collection items. |
