Aviation Museum Kbely
|
Aviation Museum Kbely, whose origins date back to 1968, originated at a truly historic spot. Airport Prague-Kbely was the first air base built after the establishment of Czechoslovakia in 1918. Considering the number and quality of its collections, it is one of the top European and world aviation museums. It currently holds more than 300 aircrafts, 140 of which are exposed and 10 are able to fly. In addition to aircrafts, towed targets and missiles, among the collections of the museum there is also a large number of engines, gear equipment and other exhibits related to the rich history of Czech and Czechoslovakian aviation, parachuting, aerospace and meteorology. |
